We have started our "BIG" garden. I am determined to plant tons of veggies and some fruits too. It is a good thing I get lots of help from my crew. I will aso need a lot of prayers, as I am not so sure about my gardening know how.

Pilot 1st Birthday Party

Pilot, Me and Rain (Pilots best little friend) enjoying the party
Pilot had his 1st birthday. Jetta was right there to help him blow out his candel.
He was trully the life of the party. I think he loved eating the cake, but had more fun with it on he head.
Pilot with his buddy Rain who is 2 weeks younger than him.
Look at that yummy cake. I have to say it was a delicious cake I made. Strawberry layer cake with marscepone icing. Yummm.....

Pilot is a funny boy!

Pilot is such a funny boy! Whenever he hears music or if he thinks something is funny (which is all the time) he starts dancing. He stomps his feet and does a twirl. We are just laughing all the time with him.
As you can see.....he loves peek-a-boo and getting into tight spaces. He is so quick. I just take my eyes off him for one second and he is off finding something to get into.
He is almost a year old. Actually he is smiling at me right now as he dances in the corner of the kitchen. He is so good at playing with the other children. He loves a party and loves the outdoors.

Our little Pilot is a true joy. He brings such a feeling of happiness to our home. Viewing things from behind his eyes, the world looks so exciting and full of kindness and blissful wonders.
Thanks Pi!

New Gluten Free Cookbook

My New Gluten Free Cookbook is now available in PDF Format!
Living, Loving, and Cooking With My Daughter, The Cookbook that explores the Art of Creating Nutrient-Dense Gluten-Free Foods

I decided to compile my traditionally prepared gluten-free recipes in a book after many requests from friends and family. More than a cookbook, these pages document my relationship with my daughter Jetta and my journey as a Mother. I hope other Mothers find this book helpful in creating easy and nourishing meals for their children.
You can buy it now by going to: www.nourishingyouandyourchildren.blogspot.com

Merry Christmas 2007

We had a wonderful Christmas day today. We had everyone over to our house for Christmas brunch with prosciutto Parmesan frittatas and potato pancakes with mascarpone cheese and smoked salmon. Jetta was so excited about the presents Santa brought and Pilot was thrilled to be in the middle s of all the commotion. He is now really walking. Right across the room. We all opened presents while the turkey cooked. I mad my grandmas oyster dressing (which turned out to be delicious) Before we sat done for breakfast we took a walk behind our house and took this picture. After dinner around 2pm, John and I made pecan pie (New Orleans style) and we all happily stuffed it down.I think it was a Christmas we will not soon forget. I know I had a wonderful time. Just having all my family around me was the best gift of all. My Mom being here has really been so wonderful.

Merry Christmas all!

Mister Sand Man

I told Jetta about the sand man the other morning when she asked me what what in her eyes in the morning. Now every morning she wakes up and says, "That sand guy threw sand in my eyes last night!"
