BACK YARD CHICKENS (meet our brood)

It takes 21 days to incubate chicken eggs.
Our job was to keep the eggs at the right temp. Right around 100. 98 was too cold and 103 was too hot. It was a full time job watching the temp. We also needed the humidity to be at about 50%. We added water to the troth at the bottom to achieve that.

We recorded the temp and humidity each day.

On the 18th day we took the egg turner out and placed the eggs on their sides so that the chicks could get ready to hatch. We also raised the humidity by added wet sponges to the troth in the incubator. Now we just had to wait.

Watching them hatching was a miraculous experience.

Hey Priscilla. Found you on the web today, what a cool blogger site! I love this article with Angel and Buffy.

I just wanted to let you know I think often of what an amazing talent you are and that I was lucky to make music with you.

Jetta looks just like her mom, by the way. ; ) I hope you and John are well, and thanks so much for sharing your talent back in 2001. I really am grateful for it.

It's so cool to see you are doing home schooling and making delicious food with your young ones.

I hope all is well today. Thank you again, sincerely.

Tristan
